Privacy Policy
ZTAG is committed to protecting personal data used in connection with our smart business card and digital profile services. This policy explains what information may be collected, why it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you. It applies to the ZTAG website at ztag.ae and the related ZTAG services for this market.
1. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use ZTAG, information may include account and registration details such as your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, country and login credentials; information you choose to publish on your digital business profile; communications you send to us; and technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. If a paid subscription or purchase uses a third-party payment provider, that provider may process payment details and ZTAG may receive transaction status and limited billing information.
2. Public digital profile information
ZTAG is designed to help users share business information. Details that you deliberately place on a public ZTAG profile may be visible to anyone who receives or opens your ZTAG link, scans a QR code, or taps the associated NFC card. You are responsible for deciding which business or personal contact details you publish. Public information may be copied, saved or shared by recipients outside ZTAG’s control.
3. How we use personal data
- To create, operate and maintain your ZTAG account and digital profile.
- To provide subscription, support, security and account administration services.
- To process requested updates and help keep profile information accurate.
- To communicate about service matters and, where permitted, marketing you have chosen to receive.
- To prevent misuse, investigate technical problems and protect the service.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, accounting or dispute-resolution obligations.
4. Legal basis and consent
We process personal data where it is necessary to provide the service you request, where we have a legitimate operational or security reason permitted by law, where processing is required by law, or where you have provided consent. If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it subject to applicable law and any consequences of stopping the relevant processing.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We may use trusted service providers for hosting, email delivery, payment processing, technical support, analytics or similar operational services. They should receive only the information reasonably required for their role and are expected to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or security, or as part of a lawful business restructuring. Public profile information is disclosed by design when you choose to publish and share it.
6. International transfers
ZTAG may use service providers or infrastructure located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we will take steps required by applicable law to provide an appropriate level of protection, including contractual or other recognised safeguards where necessary.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or loss. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the service, legitimate operational needs, dispute handling and legal or regulatory obligations. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it appropriately, subject to lawful retention requirements.
9. Your privacy rights in United Arab Emirates
Where the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data applies, you may have rights to obtain information about processing, request correction or erasure in applicable circumstances, request restriction or stopping of processing, request transfer of data where legally and technically available, withdraw consent where consent is the basis of processing, and raise a complaint with the competent authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions.
To make a privacy request, email support@ztag.ae. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to a particular processing activity, ZTAG will also respect the applicable rights and obligations under that law.
10. Marketing, cookies and third-party links
You can opt out of ZTAG marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided or by contacting us. This landing page is designed to operate without requiring advertising cookies. If analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking is added later, appropriate notice and consent controls should be implemented where required. ZTAG profiles may contain links to third-party sites such as social networks, messaging services, maps or review platforms; their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
11. Children
ZTAG’s business-card service is intended for professional and business use and is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children without the involvement and authorisation required by applicable law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect service, legal or operational changes. The current version will be posted on this website with an updated date. Questions or concerns may be sent to support@ztag.ae.
